POSITION SUMMARY: The Department of Biological Sciences at Moravian University invites applications for an adjunct (part-time) faculty pool. Our need for part-time instructors varies semester to semester. When a position becomes available, we will invite qualified applicants from this pool to interview and/or submit additional information. We occasionally have the following teaching needs:

A 100-level introductory biology course (lecture and/or lab)
A 200- or 300-level biology elective (lecture and lab) in an area of the applicant’s expertise
A 200-level microbiology lecture and /or lab
A 300-level writing-intensive seminar in an area of the applicant’s expertise

Teaching will be fully in-person on our main (North) campus in Bethlehem, PA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach courses as assigned which correlate with the catalog descriptions and course outlines, in a manner designed to assist the student in achieving the specific objectives of the course. 
Commitment to teaching at the university level using best practices and pedagogies
Commitment to the University’s values and mission

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum: MS in biology or a broadly related biological science
Preferred: PhD (or ABD) in biology or a broadly related biological science with successful teaching experience beyond the TA level
