POSITION SUMMARY: The Department of Biological Sciences at Moravian University invites applications for an adjunct (part-time) faculty pool. Our need for part-time instructors varies semester to semester. When a position becomes available, we will invite qualified applicants from this pool to interview and/or submit additional information. We occasionally have the following teaching needs:

  • A 100-level introductory biology course (lecture and/or lab)
  • A 200- or 300-level biology elective (lecture and lab) in an area of the applicant’s expertise
  • A 200-level microbiology lecture and /or lab
  • A 300-level writing-intensive seminar in an area of the applicant’s expertise

 

Teaching will be fully in-person on our main (North) campus in Bethlehem, PA.

  • Teach courses as assigned which correlate with the catalog descriptions and course outlines, in a manner designed to assist the student in achieving the specific objectives of the course.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum: MS in biology or a broadly related biological science
  • Preferred: PhD (or ABD) in biology or a broadly related biological science with successful teaching experience beyond the TA level
