  • Manage the coordination of all site activities, ensuring smooth integration of construction, electrical installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Supervise a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors working on-site to ensure the project is executed efficiently and in compliance with all project requirements.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure proper implementation of designs and engineering instructions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to on-site personnel to resolve issues related to installation and electrical systems.
  • Oversee and ensure the proper installation of all STATCOM system components, including power equipment, control panels, and communication systems.
  • Support commissioning teams in performing system checks, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure that the STATCOM is fully functional and integrated into the power grid.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols on-site, ensuring the safe handling of electrical equipment and compliance with local safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure all materials and installations meet quality standards and are verified against project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project engineers and the design team to resolve any technical discrepancies or design issues that arise during the installation phase.
  • Ensure that changes or deviations from the original design are approved and documented.
  • Continuously monitor the project progress and identify potential delays or issues that may affect the project schedule.
  • Provide regular updates on site activities, challenges, and milestones to the project management team and clients.
  • Maintain a log of all activities, issues, and resolutions, ensuring timely reporting of project status to stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all project documentation, including daily work logs, progress reports, and inspection records, are accurately maintained.
  • Monitor compliance with relevant local, regional, and national regulations and ensure all documentation is aligned with project compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the timely delivery of materials and equipment needed for the project.
  • Ensure that quality and specification requirements are met for all supplied materials and equipment.
  • Proactively identify potential issues or delays and work to resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems, coordinating with technical teams to provide effective solutions.
  • Act as the point of contact for clients, providing them with updates on site progress and addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Assist in client inspections and meetings, ensuring the project meets their expectations.


Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in electrical site management, installation, and commissioning of STATCOM systems or similar power systems.
  • Qualification: Full-time Electrical Diploma/Degree.

Technical Skills:

  • Project Management: Expertise in managing electrical installation projects, ensuring completion on time, within scope, and in compliance with specifications.
  • STATCOM Systems Installation & Commissioning: In-depth knowledge of the installation, integration, and commissioning of STATCOM systems, power equipment, control panels, and communication systems.
  • Safety Compliance: Proficient in enforcing electrical safety protocols, ensuring compliance with local and national safety regulations.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Strong ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical and mechanical issues during installation and commissioning phases.
  • Quality Control & Assurance: Ensuring all installations meet quality standards and specifications, with thorough checks and verification processes in place.
  • Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Experience in managing vendors and suppliers for timely delivery of materials and equipment required for installation.
  • Documentation Management: Skilled in maintaining accurate project documentation, including work logs, progress reports, and compliance records.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant project management tools.
