Lead Program Aide

Job Details: Job Location: ALM-Ms Gulf Coast Ray and Joan Kroc Corps - Biloxi, MS, Position Type: Full Time Regular, Salary Range: $13.75Hourly, Job Category: Recreation, Schedule/Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week This position is responsible for:Serves as the lead worker to Program Aides in the absence of the supervisor; assists in training new staff on applicable policies and procedures; handles emergencies and escalated customer service related issues.  Assists with the supervision of children participating in activities provided within the RJKCCC, such as: Education, Recreation, Arts & Crafts, and Physical Education.Key Responsibilities:Assists in training employees in the proper policies and procedures related to children’s play care activities. Provides constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner. Organizes and implements a range of program services and activities for children; provides periodic activity reports. Exhibits control of the children and when needed displays proper discipline techniques; promotes good sportsmanship. Supervises and monitors children during recreational and athletic activities; observes, monitors, and supervises children on the playground. Participates in staff meetings to maintain awareness of program activities. Assists in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the RJKCCC facilities and grounds.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write and communicate the English language. Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
