Assists the Installer or Lead Installer in the installation of residential and/or light commercial HVAC equipment and accessories. Work is performed under direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities:Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā 

  • Works under direct supervision of the Installer or Lead Installer to install HVAC equipment and accessories in the customer’s homeĀ 

  • Assists with the installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment, as well as accessories, in accordance with company requirements and manufacturer specificationsĀ 

  • Assists in the installation of ducts and duct fittingsĀ 

  • Performs duties so as to deliver of excellent customer service and sustain high levels of customer satisfactionĀ 

  • Assists in the delivery and removal of equipment needed to complete the installation workĀ 

  • Assists the Installer or Lead Installer in ensuring company property, vehicles, and tools are being properly used, maintained, and properly accounted forĀ 

  • As needed or required, completes all paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough, and timelyĀ mannerĀ Ā Ā Ā Ā 

  • Represents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and concernsĀ 

  • Responsible with the Installer for keeping installation vehicle clean and neat both inside and outside in keeping with the company’s professional imageĀ 

  • Performs similar/other duties as needed or assignedĀ 

  • Regular, reliable attendanceĀ 

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED with additional training and 0 to 2 years’ experience in HVAC with technical training certification preferredĀ 

  • Must possess all valid licensing or certification as required by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental laws or regulations for the geographical work areaĀ 

  • EPA and safety certifications requiredĀ 

  • Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of the operational functionality of heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment as well as related accessoriesĀ 

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate, or learn to operate, all necessary tools and equipmentĀ 

  • Basic skills in reading wiring diagramsĀ 

  • Effective communication skills to communicate with customer and to provide excellent customer serviceĀ 

  • Effective and efficient time-management and organizational skillsĀ 

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving recordĀ 

  • Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as neededĀ 

  • Ability to stand and walk and to climb ladders and attic stairs and to maneuver in attics, basements, and crawl spaces to access HVAC units.Ā  Ability to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawlĀ 

  • Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including but not limited to the following: hot, cold, outdoor, indoor, dry, humid, slippery surfaces, heights, and congested areasĀ 

  • Ability to safely climb 300lb load capacity rated ladders with a 30lb tool beltĀ 

  • Natural or corrected vision to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perceptionĀ 

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
