Patient Pay Supervisor - Job Description

The Patient Pay Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Patient Pay Team to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant patient account management. This role supports staff performance, enhances patient satisfaction, and ensures adherence to organizational policies and financial procedures. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•    Supervise and oversee the daily operations of the Patient Pay Team

•    Ensure team compliance with updated patient payment policies and procedures

•    Review and approve financial hardship applications

•    Review and approve patient payment plan requests

•    Implement and maintain department procedures and workflow improvements

•    Monitor and manage team workloads to ensure productivity and timely account resolution

•    Assist with resolving escalated patient concerns and upset patient situations professionally

•    Review and approve patient refund requests in accordance with company policy

•    Support team members with patient calls and account inquiries as needed

•    Collaborate with other departments to address account concerns and improve communication

•    Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members

•    Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to patient payment activities

•    Ensure high levels of customer service and patient satisfaction
