The Respiratory Therapist plans and provides comprehensive patient care, manages available nursing resources, and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to provide quality, cost-effective patient care. 

  • Part-time, Night Shift; 60 hours per pay period, with every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation, benefited

Essential Duties Include:

  • Provides clinical evaluation and assessment of all age groups of patients served by the facility including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Evaluates patient assessments and responses to interventions and takes appropriate action according to established standards.
  • Participates in patient and family education as evidenced by teaching documentation on appropriate forms.
  • Initiates effective discharge and referral plans on admission utilizing appropriate hospital and community resources.
  • Maintains knowledge and competency in respiratory therapy for all ages of patients, including, but not limited to ventilators, noninvasive ventilation, CPAP, and other respiratory modalities.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Respiratory Care required
  • Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with one year to complete Registry exam 
  • BLS upon hire 
  • NRP certification within 3 months of hire
  • ACLS and PALS within 1 year of hire
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the state of Wisconsin
