The CNC Machine Operator supports manufacturing operations by setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality precision components. This role is responsible for ensuring machining accuracy through in-process inspections, adherence to work instructions, and compliance with quality standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret blueprints, and a commitment to maintaining high workmanship standards, while contributing positively to a team-oriented environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Set up CNC mill and lathe machines and produce quality parts using provided programs, fixtures, and tool lists
- Monitor machine feed rates and speeds during machining processes
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet tolerances and surface finish requirements
- Use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges) to verify part accuracy
- Set, manage, and monitor tooling, including tool life and wear
- Perform basic mathematical calculations; GD&T knowledge is a plus
- Work with a variety of metals and understand material characteristics
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and workmanship
- Follow all work instructions and procedures within the quality management system
- Collaborate effectively within a team and maintain a positive work approach

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or apprenticeship program preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of CNC machining experience required; 5+ years preferred
- Experience operating and setting up CNC mills and lathes required
- Experience with CNC programming and controls (Fanuc, HAAS preferred)
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency using precision measurement tools and inspection techniques
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and quality procedures
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements
- Ability to work in manufacturing or warehouse environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
