The CNC Machine Operator supports manufacturing operations by setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality precision components. This role is responsible for ensuring machining accuracy through in-process inspections, adherence to work instructions, and compliance with quality standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret blueprints, and a commitment to maintaining high workmanship standards, while contributing positively to a team-oriented environment.

Location: Camden, NJ (On‑site)

Primary Responsibilities:

Set up CNC mill and lathe machines and produce quality parts using provided programs, fixtures, and tool lists
Monitor machine feed rates and speeds during machining processes
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet tolerances and surface finish requirements
Use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges) to verify part accuracy
Set, manage, and monitor tooling, including tool life and wear
Perform basic mathematical calculations; GD&T knowledge is a plus
Work with a variety of metals and understand material characteristics
Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines
Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and workmanship
Follow all work instructions and procedures within the quality management system
Collaborate effectively within a team and maintain a positive work approach

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or apprenticeship program preferred (or equivalent experience)
3–5 years of CNC machining experience required; 5+ years preferred
Experience operating and setting up CNC mills and lathes required
Experience with CNC programming and controls (Fanuc, HAAS preferred)
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Proficiency using precision measurement tools and inspection techniques
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and quality procedures
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements
Ability to work in manufacturing or warehouse environments
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
