About the Role:

Compacting Tooling Inc is looking for a skilled EDM Mill Machinist to join their team in McKeesport, PA. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with cutting-edge electrical discharge machining technology in a precision manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:

Program, set up, and operate multiple Milling machines using CAD/CAM (Mastercam) and G-code.
Use of electrodes, cutting tools, speeds based on blueprints, CAD drawings and programs.
Install and secure workpieces, ensuring proper alignment and positioning, monitoring work process.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise.
Assure quality control by inspecting finished components to tight tolerances using precision measuring tools: microammeters and calipers.
Perform routine maintenance on the equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
Adhere to safety guidelines.

Requirements:

Background in tool and die manufacturing.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, or technical specifications.
Strong understanding of machining principles and EDM processes including Sinker EDM.
Familiarity with G-code programing, CAD and CAM software applications.
Completion of apprenticeship/journey program helpful, not required.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
