Description

Dietitian - Hospital Setting PART-TIME 20-25 HOURS PER WEEK. 


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietitian to join our healthcare team in a dynamic hospital environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient health and well-being through personalized nutritional care. The successful candidate will work closely with medical staff to develop and implement nutrition plans tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring optimal recovery and health outcomes. This position will work at both hospitals Great River Medical Center in Blytheville and SMC Regional in Osceola, AR. 


Key Responsibilities:

- Assess patients' nutritional needs through interviews, medical history review, and clinical observations.

- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.

- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjusting nutrition strategies as necessary.

- Provide nutritional counseling and education to patients and their families.

- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutritional care into overall treatment plans.

- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, plans, and progress.

- Stay current with the latest research and advancements in clinical nutrition and dietetics.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field; registered dietitian (RD) certification preferred.

- Proven experience working in a hospital or clinical setting.

- Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and clinical practices.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
