As a Senior Hardware Engineer, a typical day might include the following:  

  • Inventing, analyzing and designing complex and innovative analog and digital systems to meet specifications.

  • Leading large projects of high technical complexity and participating in executive project review processes.

  • Leading hardware design design reviews to demonstrate product and circuit robustness.

  • Leading the development of hardware and system level specifications of products for highly complex applications.

  • Writing and reviewing complex test plans, executing or supervising testing, evaluating and reviewing test results for use in peer reviews and for project notebooks.

  • Providing mentorship and coaching to other engineers and technicians.

  • Participating in industry technical meetings, seminars and conferences.

  • Modeling, teaching and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

  • Embracing the mindset: Understand. Create. Simplify.

This job might be for you if have: 

  • A B.S. and/or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 10+ years of related of related engineering or management experience.

  • Strong technical knowledge in one or more engineering disciplines/technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to design, produce and support successful products/processes.

  • The ability to manage product line/process problems requiring creativity, ingenuity, and guidance from manager.

  • Excellent leadership and mentorship skills and a strong desire to develop employees and lead projects.

  • The ability to define general approaches and specific solutions to technical problems.

  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

  • The ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

  • The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

You may be a stronger fit for this job if you have: 

  • Familiarity with power utility practices.

  • Strong project management knowledge and skills.

  • Supervisory experience or training.

Pay Range Data: Senior Engineer $160,600 - $200,000 annually.

We are open to candidates with more experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. We base our starting pay offer job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
