The QA/QC Specialist - Procurement position is responsible for leading procurement strategy, material quality assurance, and compliance across federal construction projects. This role oversees the full lifecycle of procured materials, from vendor qualification and submittal approval through delivery, inspection, and final acceptance; ensuring all materials meet contract requirements, specifications, and quality standards. The position integrates procurement execution with onsite material quality control to prevent non-conforming materials from impacting schedule, cost, or system performance. The QAQC Specialist – Procurement serves as a primary interface with project teams, suppliers, third-party inspectors, and government representatives on all material-related quality matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain management or related field with a procurement or contract management focus
- The ability to communicate in written and oral formats with diplomacy and tact
- An aptitude for exercising independent thinking and reasoning
- Demonstrated success in teaching others quality concepts and requirements
- Successful leadership of subcontractors and project teams in support of quality endeavors
- Procurement and supply chain management within construction or engineering projects
- Proficient in Quality control and assurance processes
- Federal contracting and compliance (FAR, DFARS)
- Experience managing vendor qualification, material inspections, and documentation for government projects.
- Understanding of purchase orders, change orders, and BOM management
- Material inspection, NCR handling, corrective actions
- FAR, DFARS, Buy American Act, CUI requirements
- Maintaining detailed procurement and QC records for federal audits
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
- Competent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and Windows
- Document control platforms (Procore, SharePoint)
Salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000 annually.
Opportunity for a discretionary year-end bonus.
