Job Title: | International Logistics Specialist - Special Commodities |
Role Summary: | This position is responsible for the successful booking, oversight and execution of Special Commodities cargo for North America region. Specialists will be liaising with other internal stakeholders as well as accounts to optimize and coordinate Cargo movement, execution of marketing strategies and problem resolution. The incumbent will report to a team lead and Supervisor. |
Additional Responsibilities: | This position resolves operational issues for refrigerated, hazardous, and out-of-gauge cargo bookings. Responsibilities include scheduling and booking cargo. Ability to handle a high volume of daily incoming calls and emails Has frequent contact with several other departments within the organization to resolve customer concerns and/or questions. Calls are non-routine and require deviation from standard screens, scripts, and procedures Handles situations that may require adaptation of response or extensive research according to customer needs. Requires extensive knowledge of the organization, products, and/or services. Requires advanced problem solving Assess customer needs and suggest/promote alternative services Ability to work flexible hours/shifts
