Job Summary
The Education Officer will support the implementation of education and learning activities for children and other targeted beneficiaries, particularly those affected by displacement, poverty, conflict, or other vulnerabilities. The officer will contribute to safe, inclusive, and quality learning opportunities through coordination, monitoring, community engagement, and support to teachers and facilitators.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the implementation of education activities in project locations.
• Assist with the organisation of learning sessions, trainings, workshops, and education-related events.
• Support teachers, facilitators, and community volunteers in programme implementation.
• Monitor attendance, participation, and learning activities.
• Support the provision and distribution of approved teaching and learning materials.
• Assist in identifying barriers preventing children from accessing education.
• Support community mobilisation and sensitisation on the importance of education.
• Promote inclusive and safe learning environments.
• Support referrals for children requiring additional protection or specialised services.
• Collect and maintain accurate education programme data.
• Support routine monitoring visits to learning centres and project locations.
• Document programme achievements, challenges, lessons learned, and success stories.
• Contribute to donor and internal education programme reports.
• Ensure that all education activities comply with safeguarding and child protection standards.
