PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Providing a warm, welcoming greeting to our members and their guests. Ensure that members are seated in a timely manner in accordance with The Quin service standards and ensuring high member satisfaction and an exceptional dining experience.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

  • Provides leadership and instills a culture and work environment based upon respect, providing opportunities for staff to learn, grows and develops their abilities through training of employees, creating a positive, productive working environment
  • Understands all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines for The Quin
  • Greet and seat members with a smile at appropriate tables in a timely manner
  • Be attentive of members’ needs
  • Assist in providing a pleasant dining experience
  • Assist in collection of credit cards from members and servers as needed.
  • Answer the telephone/take reservations/properly inform guests of all offerings
  • Ensure quality control of menus regarding cleanliness and appearance
  • Perform opening and closing duties according to established side work checklist
  • Have a complete knowledge of standards of service
  • Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in all applicable venues
  • Assist servers in the servicing of guests as needed
  • Assume 100% responsibility for the quality of services provided
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in the investigation of member complaints regarding food quality and service
  • Ability to assist in other related food and beverage outlets if and when required
  • Assume additional tasks assigned to you by your direct supervisor or any manager of The Quin that are reasonable requests

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience in a hotel or restaurant experience preferred
  • Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • A strong team player who supports their team and embraces ownership, accountability, and responsibility for the team’s work
  • Ability to learn and master NorthStar POS
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented, good prioritization and follow up skills
  • Basic understanding of Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and Employment Legislation
  • Open availability and flexibility to work according to the needs of the business
  • Comfortable with WORD
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal English skills, additional languages are a plus
