Job Description

General Summary
The People Analytics Sr. Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping Vertex鈥檚 HR data strategy by leveraging advanced analytics, experimentation, and storytelling to drive data-informed decisions across the employee lifecycle. This role will partner closely with HR and business leaders to uncover insights, design experiments, and communicate findings that influence talent strategies and organizational effectiveness. The People Analytics Sr. Manager聽will be focused on building scalable data and AI solutions and translating research and analytics into actionable business insights


Key Duties and Responsibilities

聽聽聽聽聽 Lead the design and execution of people analytics projects that support strategic HR initiatives, including talent acquisition, retention, performance, and engagement.

聽聽聽聽聽 Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that provide actionable insights to HR and business stakeholders including reports in Workday

聽聽聽聽聽 Apply statistical and experimental methods (e.g., A/B testing, regression analysis) to evaluate HR programs and interventions.

聽聽聽聽聽 Translate complex data into compelling narratives that inform and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.

聽聽聽聽聽 Ensure ethical and compliant use of employee data in accordance with Vertex鈥檚 privacy and security policies.

聽聽聽聽聽 Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate data from multiple systems (e.g., Workday, survey platforms, learning systems) to build holistic views of workforce trends.

聽聽聽聽聽 Serve as a trusted advisor to HR leaders, helping them interpret data and identify opportunities for improvement.

聽聽聽聽聽 Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in people analytics and recommend innovative approaches to enhance Vertex鈥檚 capabilities.


Knowledge and Skills

聽聽聽聽聽 Experience building AI capabilities, ideally Human Resources AI capabilities, including agents is required.

聽聽聽聽聽 Deep expertise in HR data, analytics methodologies, and tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Power BI).

聽聽聽聽聽 Strong understanding of HR domains such as talent acquisition, talent management, organizational development, and employee experience.

聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to triangulate data from diverse sources and generate insights that challenge assumptions and drive transformation.

聽聽聽聽聽 Skilled in storytelling and communication; able to tailor messages to technical and non-technical audiences.

聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrated ability to lead change, influence stakeholders, and foster a data-driven culture.

High ethical standards and commitment to responsible data usage.

Education and Experience

聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor鈥檚 degree in human resources, Business Analytics, Statistics, Psychology, or related field.

聽聽聽聽聽 Minimum 7 years of experience in people analytics, HR reporting, or related roles.

聽聽聽聽聽 Proven track record of designing and executing analytics projects that impact HR strategy and business outcomes.

聽聽聽聽聽 Experience working in a matrixed, fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams

Pay Range:

$145,600 - $218,400

Disclosure Statement:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
