Surgical Technologist – Labor & Delivery
Brigham and Women's Hospital
Join one of the nation’s leading Labor & Delivery teams, supporting more than 6,000 births each year in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment.
At BWH, Surgical Techs are key members of the OB surgical team, assisting with:
• Cesarean sections
• Emergency C-sections
• Postpartum hemorrhage procedures
• D&C procedures
• Tubal ligations
• Complex maternal-fetal surgeries
You’ll work alongside OB surgeons, anesthesia, NICU, nursing, and physician teams in a collaborative academic medical center known for advanced maternal care.

What You’ll Do
• Prepare sterile surgical fields
• Set up OB operating rooms
• Assist during procedures
• Perform instrument and sponge counts
• Support emergency surgical response teams

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • CST Certification preferred
  • 2+ years Surgical Tech experience preferred
  • Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Certifications

  • BLS preferred
  • CST – NBSTSA required
