The Manager oversees team members in a certain department to ensure they are performing effectively. Their main duties include hiring and training employees, creating, and implementing business strategies and delegating tasks to team members. Managers may typically be required to perform tasks like administrative duties, organizing employee schedules, monitoring, and evaluating employee performance and leading team members. Managers may also be responsible for collaborating and developing improvement plans, monitoring progress and delegating employee assignments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities



  • Provide overall leadership and accountability for the Service and Installation Departments, ensuring efficiency, productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Delegate responsibilities and supervise daily operational activities, including service, installation, alterations, upgrades, and related projects.
  • Hire, train, motivate, coach, and develop Service and Installation Managers, technicians, and support staff to achieve departmental goals and maintain high performance standards.
  • Partner with the Scheduling Manager to ensure efficient workforce deployment, resource utilization, and exceptional customer service delivery.
  • Monitor operational performance, staffing levels, workflow management, and departmental metrics to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Analyze operational processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, service quality, customer retention, employee engagement, and profitability.
  • Establish and achieve operational, financial, and profitability objectives for the branch.
  • Generate and submit weekly operational reports to the Branch Manager, including key performance indicators, staffing updates, budget concerns, and business risks.
  • Lead monthly Technician Meetings, weekly Management Meetings, and daily Technician Huddles to promote communication, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure effective oversight of customer service and work order platforms, including Corrigo, ServiceChannel, and other operational systems.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns, service issues, and employee conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, inventory controls, vehicle maintenance programs, and administrative procedures.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
  • Maintain timely communication and respond to business correspondence within established company standards.
  • Remain available outside normal business hours to provide leadership support during emergency situations and critical customer events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in service, installation, operations, or related management roles.
  • Experience in fire protection, life safety, construction services, or a related industry preferred.
  • Proven success leading multiple teams while driving operational performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and employee development abilities.
  • Strong customer service, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create, analyze, and present operational reports, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with branch leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and delegation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and operational management software platforms.
  • Experience managing service operations, installation activities, workforce planning, and operational budgets.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Other Duties

  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Ensures compliance with all company operational procedures, safety policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supports organizational initiatives, process improvements, and leadership development programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to occasionally visit field locations, customer sites, and branch operations as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in meetings, presentations, and training environments.
  • May require occasional travel to support operational activities, customer relationships, and business needs.

$75-$100K DOE
