Job Description:

  • Seeking an experienced Aerospace Certified Inspector to be based on-site in support of a customer program in Brea, CA.
  • The successful candidate will have previous experience performing Level III inspection of against engineering drawings, purchase order requirements, applicable specifications and industry standards.
  • The support will primarily involve final inspection support for the following required certifications: - IPC-600 (Acceptability of Printed Boards) - IPC-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) - J-STD-001 (Requirements for Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies) - J-STD-001 (Space Addendum) - NASA STD 8739.1 Polymeric Application Duration of inspection support is TBD

The support will include:

•Final inspection of printed boards, soldered electronics, and electronic assemblies.•Dimensional inspection using standard hand-held measurement equipment•Verification of parts against engineering drawings, specifications and purchase order requirementsExperience requirements:•Demonstrate evidence of more than 2-years in the last 5-years of aerospace experience and poses experience of working within an engineering environment for a minimum of 3 years.•Demonstrable experience in the receiving or final inspection of precision components•Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and purchase order requirements•Good working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)•Experience using hand-held inspection equipment, including micrometers, vernier callipers, height gauges, bore gauges and thread gauges•Experience inspecting detailed electronic boards/assemblies and components manufactured from a range of aerospace materials.•Knowledge / experience of AS9100 and AS9102 standards highly advantageous•Strong communications skills, both written and verbal•Strong written and verbal communication skills•Good attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment
