TheStaff Pad is proud to partner with a leading healthcare organization in Breckenridge,TX and we are looking to hire experienced and qualified Licensed VocationalNurses (LVNs) to provide high-quality nursing care to ill, injured convalescentor disabled patients in the Emergency, Medical-Surgical and Ambulatory CareServices Departments

Reportingto the Primary Unit Nursing Director and Chief Nursing Officer, the LVNassesses patient needs, plans and modifies care, and implements appropriateinterventions as part of the healthcare team.

TheLVN may need work across nursing units based on department and patient needsand must practice within the LVN scope of practice for each department.

Schedule:Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts | Multiple Shifts available

KeyResponsibilities

  • Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies; document times and amounts
  • Monitor, document, and report changes in patient conditions and take appropriate action
  • Provide basic patient care, treatments and nursing procedures per physician orders and care plans and respond to patient calls and determine appropriate assistance
  • Evaluate nursing intervention outcomes and collaborate with the healthcare team as needed
  • Set up, operate, and maintain patient care equipment
  • Prepare rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies; maintain inventory
  • Record patient food and fluid intake and output
  • Prepare patients for examinations, tests, and treatments; explain procedures
  • Assist patients with moving, standing, and walking as needed
  • Direct or supervise nursing and ancillary staff as assigned
  • Provide patient care according to unit guidelines and demonstrate required competencies

OtherResponsibilities

  • Follow all hospital policies, procedures, Code of Ethics, and standards
  • Maintain patient and hospital confidentiality
  • Promote the mission, vision, and values of the hospital
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Promote a positive, welcoming, and supportive environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the RN, Director, CNO, or CEO

What We Are Looking For

Education, Experience, Licensure andCertifications

  • Graduateof an accredited vocational nursing program
  • CurrentTexas  Board of Nursing LVN license or a Multi-state compact license
  • 1–2years of hospital nursing experience preferred
  • BLScertification required within 30 days of hire
  • ACLSand PALS certifications required within 90 days of hire

AdditionalSkills and Attributes

  • Abilityto calculate medication dosages, IV rates, titration, and metric/standardconversions
  • StrongEnglish verbal and written communication skills; Spanish preferred
  • Abilityto follow instructions, exercise judgment, and solve problems
  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office, email, internet, and EMR systems
  • Abilityto lift up to 30 lbs regularly and 150 lbs occasionally
  • Abilityto manage stressful patient situations and respond effectively to patient andteam needs
  • Stronginterpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Adaptabilityand ability to embrace and implement change
  • Strongcritical thinking and analytical skills
  • Abilityto teach, coach, and share knowledge effectively
  • Strongservice-oriented approach and commitment to patient needs

Candidatesmust successfully pass a standard background check and drug screening as acondition of employment.
