The Staff Pad is proudto partner with a leading healthcare organization in Breckenridge, TX and weare looking to hire skilled and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologists fortheir Radiology Department.

Reporting to theRadiology Director and the Radiologist, The Radiologic Technologist providesdiagnostic information by operating radiologic equipment to producehigh-quality radiographs.

Schedule: Full-Time| 12 Hour Shifts | Weekends needed

What You’ll Do

KeyResponsibilities

  • Establish rapport with patients and others to understand and meet their service needs
  • Maintain radiology equipment through preventive maintenance, following manufacturer instructions, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment evaluations
  • Monitor radiology supply levels, place orders, and verify deliveries
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
  • Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education, publications, networking, and participating in professional societies
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following established procedures and regulations
  • Ease patient anxiety by explaining procedures and answering questions
  • Prepare patients for procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified positions, and setting equipment controls
  • Minimize patient radiation exposure by using proper protection techniques, shielding, and exposure settings
  • Protect patients and staff by following infection-control protocols, responding to medication reactions, administering first aid, and using emergency equipment
  • Produce quality radiographs by following established procedures, developing radiographs’ observing radiographic results and making necessary adjustments
  • Document patient care in patient and department records
  • Support team objectives by completing related duties as needed

Education, Experience,Licensure and Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
  • GeneralRadiology Experience preferred
    • X-rayand CT experience in an Emergency Department preferred
    • Mammography and sonography experience preferred
    • MRI (Mobile Unit) and DEXA experience preferred
  • Current Texas license and CPR certification
  • ARRT Registry and Texas MRT Registry required

Additional Skills& Attributes

  • Ability to stand, walk, twist, reach, and handle equipment regularly
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and occasionally support heavier or weakened patients
  • Ability to complete procedures promptly and work beyond scheduled hours as needed
  • Ability to maintain a safe, effective work environment
  • Commitment to patient care and safety
  • Medical technology proficiency, information analysis, quality focus, and planning
  • Diagnostic procedures and technical knowledge
  • Dependability and strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills+
Candidates must successfully pass a standard background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
