POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: CULINARY SERVICE ASSISTANT (BRECKSVILLE)

Department: Culinary

Reports to: Culinary Services Director

Weekend Hours needed - Full time positions available, all staff are required to work every other weekend and holiday

Hours available: 6am - 2pm or 11:00 pm - 7pm. 

Position Description

Performs a variety of tasks to assure residents receive timely, attractive, high quality, satisfying food and snacks.

Essential Functions

•  Follow oral directions.
•  Follow written directions
•  Set up trays and tables
•  Serve in dining room
•  Serve on tray line
•  Serve trays
•  Bus trays
•  Pour and cover beverages
•  Assisting in preparing and covering food
•  Clean work area
•  Assist in proper care and use of kitchen equipment
•  Attend in-service training programs for Food Service/Culinary staff
•  Work in other Hospitality areas, such as Housekeeping and Laundry, when called upon to do so
•  Observe infection control procedures related to the Culinary/Dining Services Department
•  Follow Residents’ Rights policies at all times
•  Understand therapeutic diets
•  Follow facility safety programs
•  Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality
•  Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner
•  Assume accountability for data contained in the Staff Handbook
•  Relate to residents, families, and staff in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner
•  Meet meal schedules
•  Understand and comply with the Corporate Compliance Program
•  Know, understand and exemplify the Mission and Values of Jennings: Respect, Compassion, Community, Discovery of Potential and Celebration of Life.
•  Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
