Job DetailsJob Location: Kinsella Treatment Center - Bridgeport, CT 06605Position Type: Per DiemSUMMARY: In accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies and under the supervision of   Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) at RNP plays a critical role in providing high-quality nursing care to clients undergoing treatment for opioid use disorder. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering medications, activating orders and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote patient recovery and wellness.   Hours: Every other weekend 7am-11am Key Responsibilities: Medication Administration: Administer methadone in accordance with established protocols and procedures. Monitor clients for side effects and effectiveness of treatment. Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, counselors, and other healthcare professionals. Patient Education: Provide education to clients when needed regarding methadone treatment, medication adherence, and recovery resources. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, orders and progress in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Crisis Intervention: Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as needed, ensuring patient safety. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as clinic policies and procedures related to medication administration and patient care. Supportive Environment: Foster a supportive and respectful environment for clients, promoting dignity and empowerment in their recovery journey.       QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to provide caring and compassionate care. Specialized judgment, skill in observation, care, and counseling of clients with co-occurring disorders. Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding client confidentiality. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships. Excellent communication skills. Ability to project a professional image.         EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:  RN licensed in the State of Connecticut. Previous experience in opiate treatment programming, co-occurring programming or similar community-based behavioral health organization preferred. CPR certified Qualifications
