Job Summary

Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking multiple full time Material Handlers for our Bridgeton, MO facility.  This position will manage the material flow from arrival to the facility through staging material for production.  They will also be responsible for cycle counting material in support of inventory accuracy standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
  • Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools
  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
  • Load materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools
  • Convey materials to or from storage or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor by use of hand truck, electric dolly, forklift, or other device
  • Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP system
  • Attach tags or labels to materials or otherwise mark information
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Ability to count accurately
  • Requires a full day of standing/movement
  • Must have basic computer skills
     

The salary range for this position is $32,045.00year- $40,056.00/year for the state of Illinois.  This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
