About the Role:
Jewish Family Service of Somerset is looking for a dedicated and organized Business Administrator to join their mission-driven team in Somerville, NJ. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting the operational backbone of a compassionate nonprofit organization that serves the community every day.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day administrative and business operations to ensure organizational efficiency
- Manage financial processes including budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting
- Coordinate human resources functions such as onboarding, benefits administration, and personnel records
- Maintain compliance with nonprofit regulations, grant requirements, and organizational policies
- Liaise with vendors, contractors, and external partners to manage service agreements and procurement
- Prepare and maintain organizational records, reports, and documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in business administration, human resources, office management, or operations
- Nonprofit or social services experience is a strong plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting/bookkeeping software
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
