About this job…

Nosco is looking for a Carton Folder Gluer Operator on Second shift at our Bristol, PA facility.

 

As an employee owner in this position, you will operate our carton folding/gluing asset in order to perform the final step of folding carton production. The purpose of this position is to produce folding cartons in order to meet on time delivery, high quality expectations, and in accordance with all customer specifications in a safe and efficient manner.

 

In this role, you will…

  • Set up and operate a folder/gluer per SOPs, work instructions, and control riders.
  • Actively monitor production efficiency and quality while completing all documentation and reporting accurately.
  • Troubleshoot machine problems as it pertains to equipment and set up. Perform testing as required and understand what corrective actions could be necessary to achieve passing results.
  • Assists in minimizing the scope of remakes (identifying problems in a timely fashion through attributing and effectively communicating with customer fulfillment technicians).
  • Perform clean-up/maintenance tasks in accordance with company SOP.
  • Ability to perform and sustain a high rate of productivity. Meets expectations for set up time and run speeds as established by the department leads.
  • Assist in other areas as needed.

 

Success factors…

  • Preferably +2 years of carton folder/gluer experience or other technical skills operating machinery.
  • Experience with basic Quality systems and documentation.
  • Flexibility to work any shift and Overtime. Work in a fast-paced environment with ability to deal with change.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read a ruler to 1/64"
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Physical requirements: Twisting, turning, squeezing, grasping, reaching, reaching over equipment, kneeling, crawling, pulling, extended periods of standing, ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Long periods of concentration.
  • Speaking, hearing and vision are also essentials to performing job functions.
