About this job…

Nosco is looking for a Digital Finishing Operator on third shift at our Bristol, PA facility.

As an employee owner in this position, you will produce printed roll labels to meet on time delivery, high-quality expectations, and in accordance with all customer specifications in a safe and efficient manner.

In this role, you will…

  • Set up and operate an ABG Digicon per SOPs and work instructions.
  • Die cut, varnish, coat, laminate, slit, and count roll label material to meet customer needs.
  • Actively monitor production efficiency and quality while completing all documentation and reporting accurately.
  • Learn to troubleshoot machine problems as it pertains to equipment and set up.
  • Ability to identify and document quality problems.
  • Perform clean-up/maintenance tasks.
  • Perform and sustain a high rate of productivity. Meet expectations for set up time and run speeds as established by the department leads.

Success factors…

  • Preferably +2 years of digital, offset, flexo press experience or other experience operating machinery.
  • Some experience with basic Quality systems and documentation.
  • Positive attitude, coachable, willingness to learn.
  • Excellent attendance.
  • Flexibility to work Overtime. Work in a fast-paced environment with ability to deal with change.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Light math and ruler skills.
  • Physical requirements: Twisting, turning, squeezing, grasping, reaching, reaching over equipment, kneeling, crawling, pulling, extended periods of standing, ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Long periods of concentration.
  • Speaking, hearing and vision are also essentials to performing job functions.

Qualifications
  1. Safety must always be practiced and be a priority.
  2. Ability to monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  3. The ability to understand defects that may be encountered in the manufacturing of pressure sensitive labels.
  4. Mechanical aptitude for both trouble shooting and for maintaining the equipment to manufacturer specifications.
  5. Ability to train others following TWI methods.
  6. A great attitude and attendance with the willingness to work overtime on short notice.
  7. The ability to make quality decisions under production pressure settings.
  8. Apply lean principals learned to your everyday work. Identify waste in the manufacturing process.
