Job Details: Job Location: Sapling Grove GI Suite - Bristol, TN, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Day, Patient Care Technician General Summary: The Patient Care Technician is responsible for providing quality, compassionate care to patients in a surgery center setting consistent with the policies and procedures set by the organization. The PCT will actively provide direct and indirect patient care and assist the nursing team as needed.  The PCT must accurately document and maintain logs and records.   Main Responsibilities: Use patient first values in assisting patients with needs Greet patients with compassion and a friendly face Provide basic patient care (assist to bathroom, use bedpan, dressing, food/drinks, or assist as needed) Transport patients Responsible for call backs, Pre-Op arrivals calls, Post-Op calls, and scheduling follow-up appointments Clean and make beds Ensure that patient rooms are clean and stocked for patient use Dispose of contaminated supplies/used items Must accurately perform data/clerical entry (charts, pathology, documentation, etc.) Make copies as needed Maintain communication with nurses to ensure that patent's needs are taken care of Ensure to follow policies and procedures Maintain clinical area to meet site visit standards Other duties as assigned Maintain strict confidentiality in all matters relating to personnel and patient PHI (Protected Health Information)Qualifications: Education/Experience/Knowledge: High School diploma or equivalent required Three years of experience in a medical setting or CNA or PCT preferred CPR certified Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others  Key Competencies: Compassion Communication Planning and Organizing Quality Orientation Team Work Safety Awareness Customer Focus Stress Tolerance Technical/Professional Knowledge  Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
