Production Associate - Donated Goods: Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio

Do you like staying on your feet, working with your hands, and seeing the results of your work by the end of your shift? Join our Production Team at Goodwill! You'll help turn donated goods into quality merchandise for our stores. This is not a traditional retail job. It's active, fast-paced production work in a store and processing environment. If you like to keep moving and take pride in doing quality work efficiently, we'd love to meet you.
Responsibilities
Depending on your position, you may:
- Sort and process apparel and domestics: Inspect items for tears, stains, odors, and missing buttons or zippers. Sort them into salable and salvage, then hang and tag them to meet production goals.
- Sort and price hard goods: Sort housewares, collectibles, electronics, and other items into salable, e-commerce, and salvage categories. Price items based on brand and condition, and move carts to the sales floor.
- Greet and support donors: Welcome donors, help unload vehicles, hand out receipts, and pre-sort donations into categories. Every donor hears, "You changed a life today. Thank you!"
- Keep production moving: Meet daily production goals, keep accurate counts, and keep your work area clean and safe for the next shift.
- Work as a team: Pitch in on floor running, rotating merchandise, and moving materials, and work with teammates to meet daily goals.
Qualifications
- Someone who is comfortable with active, physical work and a steady pace
- Attention to detail and a good eye for quality
- A team player with a positive, friendly attitude
- Good communication skills, since you'll work with teammates and donors
- Curiosity about brands, vintage items, and collectibles
- No experience required. We'll train you. Warehouse, production, sorting, or customer service experience is a plus.
