A private household in Brookline, MA is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to join their household team and work alongside an experienced housekeeper already employed by the family. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping a home clean, organized, and running smoothly. Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- 1–3+ years of professional housekeeping experience (private home or hospitality experience welcomed)
- Strong, verifiable references
- Knowledge of proper care for household surfaces and laundry
- Non-smoker
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
Responsibilities
Housekeeping Duties
- Work alongside the family's experienced housekeeper to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming home
- Perform thorough daily and deep cleaning of all living spaces
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and common areas (6 bedrooms & 6 bathrooms)
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all surfaces
- Organize closets, storage areas, and household systems
- Make beds and manage linens with hotel-level presentation
- Monitor and restock household supplies
Laundry & Garment Care
- Demonstrate knowledge of fabric types, detergents, and proper washing techniques
- Identify and treat stains using appropriate stain removal methods
- Hand-wash delicate items and care for specialty fabrics (silk, wool, cashmere, etc.)
- Maintain organized wardrobes
- Coordinate with dry cleaners when necessary

Position Details
- Schedule: 30–35 hours per week
- Compensation: $35–40/hour BOE (taxes withheld)
