Performs high quality and accurate diagnostic ultrasound images. Interacts with patients, physicians, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Maintains ultrasound equipment in optimum working condition. Applies knowledge of emergency protocols and procedures, and proper equipment utilization to maximize safety in the work environment. 

Schedule: 1.0 FTE / 40 hrs weekly: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 10-hour shifts 7-5:30pm. Rotating clinic weekends every 12-14 weeks: 8-hour shifts

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

    • Graduate from an accredited School of Medical Sonography or equivalent

    • Must be willing to participate in continuing education to remain current on technical advances as they occur. 

  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

    • Must be registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). 

    • Registered in RDMS and RVT within 6 months of hire required. 

    • Must maintain current CPR skills.

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Must have a strong anatomy and physiology background. 

    • Ability to assess results, problem solve, and use independent judgment. 

    • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.

    • Must have proven ability to operate the following safely and efficiently: Ultrasound equipment, Fax, Telephone, PC, Printer, and Photocopier.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

    • Additional specialized training or at least one year of ultrasound experience preferred.
