Job Summary

Join the team at the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) as the Lead Group Experience Coordinator and be the host behind every group's trip at the Nantahala River Resort.

The Lead Group Coordinator takes each group from the Group Sales Rep at the 30-day mark, calls the group leader to finalize itineraries, details, and numbers, and then delivers a seamless visit from arrival and check-in through activities, meals, lodging, and departure. Sales Reps book the trip; the Lead Group Coordinator delivers it.

This full-time, year-round role reports to the Group Sales Manager and works closely with directors and managers across adventure, lodging, and food and beverage. From approximately April through August, the Lead Group Coordinator trains and leads two seasonal Group Coordinator interns.

  • Close out each visit with feedback from the group leader and share notes with the Sales Rep to support rebooking
  • Recommend improvements to itineraries, on-site procedures, and the Group Sales Operations Manual

Intern Leadership (April through October)

  • Train two Group Coordinator interns on group offerings, on-site procedures, and service standards
