Schneider Electric has an onsite opportunity (5 days a week) for a Finance Project Manager - Integration & Value Realization in Lancaster, NY.The role requires an on-site, in-plant presence – remote work will be allowed situationally and on an as needed basis, but the expectation of this position is that your on-site in plant presence will be required 5 days per week.

This role is pivotal inĀ driving financial integration and ensuring value realizationĀ across transformation initiatives. Acting as the financial anchor for integration programs, this position ensures disciplined planning, cost transparency, and governance while enabling leadership to make confident decisions during periods of change.Ā 

The Finance Project Manager – Integration & Value Realization plays a critical leadership role in ensuring financial discipline, transparency, and value delivery across integration and transformation initiatives.Ā This role serves as the financial anchor for integrations—translating strategy into measurable financial outcomes, ensuringĀ synergyĀ capture, and enabling leadership to make informed, confident decisions during periods of change.Ā

Key ResponsibilitiesĀ 

Ā 

IntegrationFinancial LeadershipĀ 

  • Own the end-to-end financial integration agenda, ensuring alignment withĀ dealĀ thesis and strategic objectivesĀ 
  • Develop andĀ maintainĀ a robust integration roadmap with defined milestones, KPIs, and accountability ownersĀ 
  • Act as theĀ single sourceĀ of truth for all integration-related financialsĀ 
  • Partner with business and functional leaders to embed financial rigor into integration executionĀ 

Ā 

Integration Cost & Synergy Tracking

  • Lead tracking and governance of integration costs, ensuring alignment to approved budgetsĀ 
  • MonitorĀ synergyĀ realization against targets (cost and revenue), proactivelyĀ identifyingĀ risks and mitigation plansĀ 
  • Provide clear visibility on value capture, ROI, and payback timelinesĀ 
  • Establish disciplined reporting mechanisms for integration spend and benefitsĀ

Budgeting & ForecastingĀ 

  • Integrate transformationĀ impactsĀ into annual budgets and rolling forecastsĀ 
  • Drive scenario planning to assess risks such as delays, cost overruns, andĀ synergyĀ shortfallsĀ 
  • Conduct prior-year and baseline analyses toĀ establishĀ credibleĀ synergyĀ benchmarksĀ 
  • Ensure financial plans reflect both operational realities and strategic ambitionĀ

Analysis of Change (AOCs) Ownership – GM & SFC

  • Own and deliver AOCs for Gross Margin (GM) and Support FunctionĀ Costs (SFC)Ā 
  • Clearly distinguish integration-driven impacts vs. business-as-usual performanceĀ 
  • Provide transparency into key cost drivers (restructuring, transition costs, efficiencies)Ā 
  • Validate assumptions and track delivery in partnership with business leadersĀ 

Ā 

R&D Spend & Capitalization Governance

  • Track R&D investments within the integration scope, ensuring alignment with strategic prioritiesĀ 
  • Govern capitalization of R&D costs in line with accounting standards and audit requirementsĀ 
  • Provide clear visibility into innovation spend vs. integration commitmentsĀ 

Ā 

Cost Structure Alignment

  • Rationalize and harmonize cost structures across legacy and integrated entitiesĀ 
  • Establish consistent reporting hierarchies and cost allocation frameworksĀ 
  • Drive accountability for costs across newly integrated teamsĀ 
  • Enable clean post-integration performance trackingĀ

Executive (EXCOM) Reporting

  • Lead quarterly EXCOM reporting on integration progress, including:Ā Ā 
  • Financial performance vs. planĀ 
  • SynergyĀ realizationĀ 
  • Key risks, decisions, and trade-offsĀ 
  • Translate complex financials into clear, executive-ready narrativesĀ 
  • Support leadership with insights that driveĀ timelyĀ decision-makingĀ

Controls, Governance & Risk Management

  • Establish and enforce a robust financial controls framework across integration programsĀ 
  • Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and trust standardsĀ 
  • IdentifyĀ control gaps and lead continuous improvement initiativesĀ 
  • Safeguard disciplined use of capital during transformationĀ 

Ā 

Payroll Oversight

  • Oversee andĀ validateĀ monthly payroll accuracy and completenessĀ 
  • Ensure alignment with budgeting assumptions and workforce plansĀ 
  • StrengtheningĀ controls and transparency in people-related costsĀ 

Ā 

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting Discipline

  • Own and oversee the month-end close process for integration-related entities and adjustmentsĀ 
  • EnsureĀ accurate,Ā timely, and compliant financial reporting during integration phasesĀ 
  • Review andĀ validateĀ integration-related journal entries, accruals, and adjustmentsĀ 
  • Partner with Accounting/Controllership teams to ensure alignment between management reporting and statutory reportingĀ 
  • Ensure proper classification of integration costs (e.g., restructuring, one-time vs. recurring)Ā 
  • Drive consistency between reportedĀ financialsĀ and integration tracking (synergies, costs, AOCs)Ā 
  • IdentifyĀ and resolve discrepancies between ERP financials and integration reporting decksĀ 

Experience & Qualifications Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (required)Ā 
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification (strongly preferred)Ā

Professional ExperienceĀ 

  • 8–12+ years of progressive finance experienceĀ 
  • ProvenĀ track recordĀ inĀ M&A integration, transformation programs, or large-scale strategic initiativesĀ 
  • Strong experience inĀ FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelingĀ 
  • Strong experience in month-endĀ close, financial reporting, and controllership processesĀ 
  • Experience ensuring alignment between management reporting and statutory financialsĀ 
  • Experience inĀ synergyĀ tracking, cost optimization, and value realization frameworksĀ 
  • Exposure toĀ manufacturing, industrial, or complex multi-entity environmentsĀ preferredĀ

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.
