Description

Position Summary:

Candidate would be a member of the CUBRC Aerosciences group involved with high-speed wind tunnel testing. Primary responsibilities include operating CNC and manual mills and lathes to fabricate tunnel parts or models to precise tolerances.

Salary Description: 

$33 - $40 per hour

Requirements

Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of relevant education and job experience
• Experience machining various materials on CNC equipment
• 3-axis CNC milling experience required, 4/5th axis experience desirable
• CAD/CAM experience required, but training assistance is available
• Good understanding of general machine shop equipment and inspection tools
• Ability to read technical drawings to set up and prep jobs, and understand dimensioning and tolerancing requirements
• Applicant must possess the basic hand tools to perform their job within the scope of duties. 
• Willing to work flexible or extended hours on an as needed basis

Special Requirements: 

• Must be able to obtain and remain eligible for a US Department of Defense security clearance.
