Educational Background Required:

  • Completed degree (Bachelor) in Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in a similar position or equivalent combination or education and experience

Essential Functions Required for Job

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor Engineering Team Members, hold them accountable for performance, and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Process Creation: Determine processes required to manufacture customer part based on prints and information supplied by R&D including pricing related information (Cycle time, # of operators, Tact time, etc.)
    • Leverage internal/external resources to determine equipment or raw material/component pricing when needed
    • Interpret capacity data and monitor to ensure sustained growth and prevent over capacitation of equipment
    • Create Requirements for new equipment and processes
    • Ensure newly acquired equipment is up to local Health, Safety, and Environmental Regulations.
  • Process Industrialization: Lead teams to industrialize new parts & projects.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and improve manufacturing processes, work methods, and layouts to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Process Standardization: Generate and implement standardized processes and use them to accomplish tasks
  • Process Documentation: Create/modify pFMEA’s and Process Flows for new and existing business and ensure continuity with work/set-up instructions.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure machinery, equipment, and utilities function properly and meet operational requirements.
  • Project Management: Lead or coordinate engineering projects, including equipment selection and procurement, scope definition, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other departments (sales, operations, finance) to align engineering solutions with business needs
  • Assist sales teams with technical scope generation and client visits
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Coordinate work measurement and process redesign for new customer projects
  • Other duties as assigned.
