Essential Functions Required for Job - Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor Engineering Team Members, hold them accountable for performance, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Process Creation: Determine processes required to manufacture customer part based on prints and information supplied by R&D including pricing related information (Cycle time, # of operators, Tact time, etc.)
- Leverage internal/external resources to determine equipment or raw material/component pricing when needed
- Interpret capacity data and monitor to ensure sustained growth and prevent over capacitation of equipment
- Create Requirements for new equipment and processes
- Ensure newly acquired equipment is up to local Health, Safety, and Environmental Regulations.
- Process Industrialization: Lead teams to industrialize new parts & projects.
- Process Optimization: Analyze and improve manufacturing processes, work methods, and layouts to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Process Standardization: Generate and implement standardized processes and use them to accomplish tasks
- Process Documentation: Create/modify pFMEA’s and Process Flows for new and existing business and ensure continuity with work/set-up instructions.
- Operational Oversight: Ensure machinery, equipment, and utilities function properly and meet operational requirements.
- Project Management: Lead or coordinate engineering projects, including equipment selection and procurement, scope definition, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other departments (sales, operations, finance) to align engineering solutions with business needs
- Assist sales teams with technical scope generation and client visits
- Perform cost-benefit analyses to ensure efficient use of resources
- Coordinate work measurement and process redesign for new customer projects
- Other duties as assigned.
