We believe that while the willingness and resources exist, thereare fundamental gaps in the execution within communities that is the biggestcrisis in the climate movement. Accordingly, Swaniti works with sub nationalgovernments to conduct micro planning exercises with consultations withcommunity and key stakeholders to understand the pathways forward, providetechnical assistance to sub national governments to provide support in programimplementation and support in monitoring and delivery of programs.

Our three-coremetrics include unlocking public capital, ensuring last mile communities aredirectly benefited and creating systemic changes in the public service systems.While we are continuing to focus on impact, it is critical to have a lead whohas a deep understanding about monitoring, evaluation and learning. Ourintention is to create an institutional capability to measure and document thescale of our impact and look at how learning can be replicated across theinstitution.
Position Overview
We are looking for anenthusiastic and versatile professional to support our IndustrialDecarbonization team in research, analysis, stakeholder coordination, andprogram implementation. The ideal candidate should have a strong interestand/or professional background in industrial energy transition, energyefficiency, renewable energy, climate policy, clean technologies, andsustainability, with the ability to undertake research and translatefindings into clear, high-quality knowledge products.
The role offers theopportunity to work closely with state governments, DISCOMs, industrystakeholders, development partners, and technical experts on initiativesfocused on accelerating low-carbon transitions in industrial sectors,particularly MSMEs. The candidate will contribute to research, policy analysis,data collection, stakeholder consultations, pilot programs, capacity-buildinginitiatives, project monitoring, and preparation of technical andpolicy-oriented outputs.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will support theindustrial decarbonization team in research, analysis, stakeholder coordination, andprogram implementation activities, including but not limited to the following:
1. Research & AnalyticalSupport
· Conduct secondary research and analysis on industrial decarbonization pathways, energy efficiency,renewable energy integration, and clean
technology adoption inindustrial sectors, particularly MSMEs.
· Support preparation of policy briefs, background notes, technical summaries, literature reviews, andknowledge products related to industrial energy
transition.
· Assist in data collection, quantitative analysis, benchmarking studies, and development of analyticalframeworks relevant to industrial decarbonization and climate policy.
2. Program & Policy Support
· Support ongoing engagements with state governments, DISCOMs, industrystakeholders, and development partners through research inputs, meetingdocumentation, and coordination support.
· Assist in the design and implementation of pilot programs, capacity-building initiatives, and policyinterventions under guidance from senior team
members.
· Contribute to the preparation of concept notes, presentations, and technical documentation for internal andexternal stakeholders.
· Support assessment of policy and regulatory frameworks related to renewable energy deployment, industrialenergy efficiency, and low-carbon transitions.
3. Stakeholder Coordination& Project Support
· Participate in stakeholder consultations, workshops, and discussions with government agencies, industryassociations, academic institutions, consultants, and experts.
· Assist in project monitoring, reporting, documentation, and tracking of deliverables across multipleworkstreams.
· Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and external partners for timely execution of projectactivities.
· Coordination with the state utilities/other stakeholder /State Departments to get the data or input as andwhen required.
4. Knowledge Development &Learning
· Track emerging national and international developments related to climate policy, industrialdecarbonization, energy transition, and clean technologies.
· Demonstrate willingness to build domain expertise in industrial decarbonization throughcontinuous learning, training, and guided exposure to
sectoral work in next sixmonths.
· Undertake additional research and analytical assignments aligned with organizational priorities.
Requirements
1.Master’sdegree in Energy, Environmental Science, Climate Studies, Sustainability,Public Policy, Economics, Development Studies, Engineering, or a related field.
2.Atleast 2–3 years of professional experience in research, energy transition,industrial decarbonization, energy efficiency, renewable energy, climatechange, sustainability, or related areas. Experience working on MSME-focusedenergy efficiency or energy conservation programmes will be preferred.
3.Demonstratedexperience in secondary research, data analysis, literature reviews, policyanalysis, benchmarking, and preparation of research/technical outputs.
4.Provenability to develop policy briefs, concept notes, technical reports,presentations, background papers, and other high-quality knowledge products.
5.Goodunderstanding of industrial decarbonization pathways, energy efficiency,renewable energy integration, clean technologies, and climate/energy policy andregulatory frameworks.
6.Experiencein coordinating with or engaging government departments, stateutilities/DISCOMs, industry associations, development partners, academicinstitutions, consultants, or other external stakeholders will be an advantage.
7.Strongproject coordination, documentation, communication, and stakeholder managementskills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliverables.
8.Strongcommand of English and Hindi is required. Candidates with prior experience inthe development sector, climate and energy programs, industrial sustainability,public policy, or government engagement will be preferred.
9. Thecandidate should demonstrate a strong willingness to develop domain expertisein industrial decarbonization and energy transition through continuous learningand hands-on project exposure.
