Our program currently works in school districts across the state of Vermont. Applying to this position will ensure you are considered for all open Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing positions.

We are currently seeking someone who resides in Bennington County, VT, or who can reliably commute for on‑site responsibilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

An individual in this position shall observe, consult with, and assist special and regular education staff as they adapt classroom instructional strategies to accommodate students with varying degrees of hearing loss. The TOD shall also provide direct instruction and serve as a liaison between the school and various community agencies and professionals that provide services to deaf and hard of hearing children and their families.

EDUCATION

Educational requirements - Master’s degree

Professional requirements - Licensed in the state of Vermont within 90 days of hire as a teacher with specialized training in working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing (Special Education, TOD endorsement or provisional endorsement).

EXPERIENCE

Three years’ experience preferred
