About the Role:

The Activities Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in assisted living and long-term care settings by planning, organizing, and facilitating engaging recreational and social activities. This position requires a compassionate and cheerful individual who can connect with seniors, encouraging their participation and fostering a sense of community and well-being. The Activities Assistant collaborates closely with healthcare and support staff to tailor activities that meet the physical, emotional, and cognitive needs of each resident. By continuously seeking out new methods and principles, the assistant ensures that programming remains innovative, inclusive, and stimulating. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the residents' overall happiness, social engagement, and personal fulfillment within the accommodation and food services environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience working in an assisted living or long-term care setting.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with seniors, showing empathy and respect.
Proficiency in understanding and communicating in the English language.
High level of personal integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
Ability to maintain a cheerful disposition and positive attitude in a caregiving environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
