Job Title: Senior Construction Manager (PMC Level)

Location: Wadi Yemm, Egypt

Role Overview

The Senior Construction Manager directs and coordinates large-scale, mega construction developments on behalf of the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) and client organization. Acting as the primary client-facing representative on site, this role governs overall site execution, oversees Tier 1 main contractors and engineering consultants, enforces HSE compliance, monitors critical path milestones, and safeguards project cost and quality baselines from mobilization through project handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead overall site management on mega projects, acting as the primary client-facing representative overseeing Tier 1 general contractors and specialist subcontractors.

  • Enforce strict HSE governance across all site packages in alignment with OSHA and local safety regulations, championing a zero-incident culture.

  • Monitor master baseline schedules, progress curves, and critical path activities using Primavera P6, leading schedule compression and recovery strategies when needed.

  • Chair weekly progress, technical coordination, constructability review, and commercial alignment meetings with clients, developers, and lead design consultants.

  • Drive Lean Construction and Value Engineering initiatives across site works to eliminate process waste, reduce material costs, and enhance constructability.

  • Review contract documents, variations, extension of time (EOT) claims, progress billings, and subcontractor deliverables to ensure contractual compliance.

  • Oversee site quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) programs, ensuring structural and civil works comply with approved shop drawings and specifications.



Requirements

Education & Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering — Mandatory.

  • Master’s Degree in Construction Management — Preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum Experience: 15+ years of post-qualification civil construction experience.

Certifications & Technical Competencies

  • OSHA / HSE Certification — Mandatory.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) — Preferred.

  • Primavera P6 — Advanced proficiency for project control and schedule verification (Preferred).

  • Lean Construction / Value Engineering training or certifications — Distinct Advantage.

  • Deep knowledge of FIDIC/standard construction contracts, local municipal building codes, and cross-functional MEP/structural integration.
