Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Speech Language Pathologist, you will actively deliver high-quality individual or group therapy sessions targeting specific speech or swallowing deficits.

 

Every day you will prioritize, creating personalized, evidence-based care plans with measurable short and long term functional goals.

 

To be successful in this role, you will coordinate care with doctors, teachers, occupational therapists, and physical therapists.

  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work tactfully and effectively with fellow staff members physicians hospital departments and the general public.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of teaching and leadership skills including a proficiency for conceptual thinking motivating teaching principles and problem solving.
  • Demonstrates advanced working knowledge of the principles standard practices procedures and equipment utilized in the department.
  • Ability and willingness to actively participate in departmental and hospital programs.
  • Demonstrates self-motivation and ability to achieve results through good organizational skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of pertinent standards and regulations including DHS and The Joint Commission.

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Required

 

  • Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience 
  • Current California State license in Speech Therapy (LIC SLP)
  • Current AHA CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)
