Job Description

As theĀ PortfolioĀ LeadĀ for the joint USBU and OBU DD&T organization, you will reportĀ intoĀ the Head of Portfolio Strategy and Operational Excellence.Ā Ā In this role, you will be accountable for managing the run and investmentĀ portfolioĀ across the USBU and OBU DD&T organization, focusing primarily on value realization,Ā optimizationĀ of portfolio through business process planning cycles, andĀ enablement ofĀ portfolioĀ tradeoff decisions within the governanceĀ forums.Ā Ā You willĀ representĀ USBU and OBU DD&T in enterprise portfolio forums andĀ workstreams with a focus onĀ identifyingĀ portfolioĀ synergiesĀ and aligning processes, tools, and ways of working.Ā

As the USBU and OBU DD&TĀ PortfolioĀ Lead, you willĀ be responsible for:Ā 

ACCOUNTABILITIESĀ Ā 

Portfolio ManagementĀ 

  • Own andĀ maintainĀ the integrated run and investment portfolio across USBU and OBU DD&T, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and currency of all portfolio dataĀ 

  • Track portfolio health and status across the full lifecycle,Ā from ideation through delivery and value realizationĀ 

  • Develop andĀ maintainĀ portfolio dashboards and reporting to provide leadership with clear visibility into portfolio performance.Ā 

Value RealizationĀ 

  • Define andĀ monitorĀ value realization frameworks and KPIs for active portfolio investments.Ā 

  • Partner with product and delivery teams to capture and report benefits against committed business cases.Ā 

  • Flag at-risk investments and drive corrective action in partnership with stakeholders.Ā 

Planning Cycle ManagementĀ 

  • Lead theĀ USBU and OBUĀ DD&T portfolio contribution to annual and mid-year business planning cycles, coordinating inputs acrossĀ the team.Ā 

  • Manage demand intake and prioritization processes, ensuring alignment to strategicĀ objectives.Ā 

  • OptimizeĀ the portfolio through scenario planning and capacity analysis to maximize return on investment.Ā 

Governance & Decision EnablementĀ 

  • Prepare andĀ facilitateĀ portfolio review forums, including materials, decision packages, and tradeoff analyses for leadership.Ā 

  • Enable data-driven prioritization and tradeoff decisions by presenting clear options with risk, cost, and value implications.Ā 

  • MaintainĀ governance cadenceĀ and ensure follow-through on portfolio decisions.Ā 

Enterprise Portfolio RepresentationĀ 

  • Represent USBU and OBU DD&T in enterprise-level portfolio forums and workstreams.Ā 

  • IdentifyĀ and surface portfolio synergies across business units to reduce duplication andĀ optimizeĀ shared investments.Ā 

  • Align USBU and OBU DD&T portfolio processes, tools, and ways of working with enterpriseĀ and centralized DD&TĀ standards.Ā 

Process & Operational ExcellenceĀ 

  • Continuously improve portfolio management processes, tools, and templates to increase efficiency and consistency.Ā 

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on portfolio managementĀ methodologyĀ for the DD&T organization.Ā 

  • Support the Head of Portfolio Strategy & Operational Excellence in building and maturing the portfolio operating model.Ā

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:Ā 

  • Bachelor's Degree isĀ required, MBA preferredĀ 

  • 10+ years of experience inĀ technology, consulting,Ā pharmaceuticalsĀ or similar fieldĀ 

  • Prior consulting experience preferredĀ 

  • Proven experience managing enterprise or technology portfolios in a matrixed organizationĀ 

  • ProficiencyĀ in portfolio management toolsĀ 

  • Experience designing andĀ facilitatingĀ governance forums and portfolio review cadencesĀ 

  • Ability to develop decision-ready materials and tradeoff frameworks for senior leadershipĀ 

  • Knowledge of enterprise portfolio management standards and best practicesĀ

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$154,400.00 - $242,550.00


The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.Ā 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
