WHO/WHAT:Â Jazz on Saturdays. Classical on Sundays. And weekday mornings? A whole different kind of rhythm! This fun-loving Ohio family is searching for an exceptional nanny/family assistant to help keep life moving smoothly for two active, curious kids, ages 7 and 5. Between demanding careers for both parents, school schedules, hockey practices, piano lessons, and outdoor adventures, this family's calendar stays pretty full! Their biggest need is someone who can confidently take charge of the weekday morning routine, with flexibility to jump in for additional afternoons and occasional weekends. They're hoping to find someone who will become a trusted part of their family's life for the next several years.
The core schedule is Monday through Friday, 6–10 AM. You'll help the kids get dressed, fed, organized, and off to the bus around 8:15, then spend the remaining time resetting the house for the day. Think cleaning up breakfast, keeping laundry moving, vacuuming, tidying common areas, running occasional errands, and helping with light family dinner prep. And here's where some flexibility comes in! Mom's work schedule can be especially demanding about one week each month, and during those stretches, the family would LOVE someone available for afternoon coverage, generally between 2–6 PM. You'll greet the kids off the bus, help with activities, keep the afternoon moving, and get everyone ready for the next day. They're open to a monthly guarantee of hours rather than a rigid weekly schedule, allowing hours to shift between mornings, afternoons, and occasional Saturdays with advance planning. Mom receives her schedule approximately six months ahead, so there should be plenty of opportunity to coordinate. Summers could also bring more childcare hours and adventures, although they're equally open to bringing in additional summer support if their nanny prefers a lighter schedule.
And now for the FUN part: these kids! Their seven-year-old son is bright, musical, curious, and loves hockey, piano, and soccer. His younger sister is an artistic, athletic little firecracker who loves drawing, ballet, hockey, and keeping everyone on their toes! Both kids are active, affectionate, independent, and full of personality. Mom and Dad believe children should spend their days exploring, creating, and getting a little messy along the way. Screens are limited, but bike rides, hikes, art projects, trips to the library, and afternoons at the children's museum are always encouraged! The family has bikes, scooters, playsets, and even a tennis court, so there's no shortage of ways to keep these two busy. This is a family that values creativity, culture, independence, and a whole lot of fresh air.
THE IDEAL NANNY IS…SOMEONE WHO CAN FIND THE RHYTHM IN A BUSY FAMILY'S LIFE! You're reliable, experienced, personable, proactive, and genuinely FUN! You're the type of person who can get two kids out the door on time without turning every morning into a battle, then happily switch gears to laundry, organizing, errands, or whatever else will help the household run more smoothly. You're active and creative, enjoy spending time outdoors, and would much rather plan a park outing or art project than rely on screens. You know how to be playful without losing your authority, and you believe kids thrive when they're given both affection and opportunities to become more independent.
Most importantly, you're someone whose word means something. Punctuality and dependability are absolutely essential. You're flexible enough to accommodate a schedule that changes with advance notice, but organized enough to keep everyone on track. You're trustworthy, thoughtful, comfortable taking initiative, and happy to lend a hand wherever needed. You communicate openly, handle busy days with good judgment, and take pride in becoming a true teammate to the family. And you're looking for a place to put down roots! This family isn't just searching for help getting through the next school year. They're hoping to find someone who will become part of their routine while these two grow from little kids into increasingly independent young people. If you're someone who enjoys a little music, a lot of adventure, and the satisfaction of keeping a busy family in harmony, we'd LOVE to introduce you. APPLY TODAY!
