Job Description Summary

‎ 

We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Home Health Team in Lee County. In this role, there is a real impact in the comfort of patients’ homes. As part of our compassionate, high‑performing care team, you will provide skilled therapy services under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, function, and independence. You will implement individualized treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and assistive device training, while educating patients and families on techniques that support recovery and daily living. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and adhere to infection control and safety standards to ensure high-quality patient care and optimal outcomes.

This is a Pro Re Nata (PRN) position with variable time and hours can vary from week to week based on staffing needs, patient volume, call-offs, vacations, or organizational requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Patient Care: Provide skilled therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Implement treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and assistive device training.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families on techniques to improve functional skills and independence.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Physical Therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and interventions.
  • Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control guidelines to protect both patients and healthcare workers.

What We're Looking For

  • Licensure: Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Florida.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or rehab required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
  • Professionalism: Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to providing quality care.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation to visit patients in their homes.
