Position Details

Ā 

The Mobile Competency Forensic Restoration CounselorĀ carries out the treatment plan developed by the behavior educator and provides updates and information to the MCR team members concerning each individual’s progress toward regaining competency. The restoration counselor is responsible for providing consistent services to individuals served, assist in coordination of discharge, and post treatment services.

The Forensic Restoration CounselorĀ perform initial intakes upon assignment from supervisor/director and provide up to date information participant meetings and collects data for treatment plans and updates.Ā  This role will complete all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner, quickly establish treatment relationships with the individuals being served, and provide coordination with other service delivery systems as appropriate for treatment.Ā  They will participate in internal and external trainings and maintain professional relationship that align with the expectation of the criminal justice system.Ā  This role will have flexibility in program development and adjustments based on program needs and will testify/report as requested by members of the criminal justice system.Ā

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:Ā 

  • Bachelor’s degree completed in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or similar human services required.
  • Experience working with forensic populations and/or incarcerated individualsĀ preferred.
    • Training will be given for this role.
  • Must possess or is able to attain all necessary clearances and background checks to work with designated consumers.
  • Must possess a valid PA state Driver's license, personal and reliable transportation.
  • CandidateĀ mustĀ be open to community based travel.
