We are seeking JALC students who are interested in becoming Peer Tutors. Peer Tutors provide learning assistance to other students, using good communication and interpersonal skills.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Must be an enrolled JALC student, with a minimum of 6 credit hours in the fall and spring semesters
- Must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
- Have a high school diploma
- Have a FAFSA on file with the Financial Aid office
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of competence in coursework (must have gotten an A or B in the course that they are tutoring for)
- Must attend tutor training
Essential Functions & Position Duties
- Attend scheduled appointments with students and assist with walk-in requests
- Maintain records of tutoring sessions
Non-Essential Functions of the Position
Other duties as assigned. Duties must be performed on the John A. Logan College campus or designated location.

Hours: Maximum of 16 hours per week, but hours may vary from week to week
