Drumming & Blending Chemical Operator
Middle River, MD | Full-Time | On-Site | $20–$22/hour | Morning Shift: 7am–3pm
Sole Hire is recruiting on behalf of an F&F client based in Middle River, MD. Our client is an established chemical and ingredient distribution company. They're looking for a dependable, safety-minded Drumming & Blending Chemical Operator to join their production team.
About the Role
You'll be part of a hands-on production team that runs the machinery used to mix and process chemicals. That includes cleaning, preparing and monitoring equipment, following strict blend sheets, recording process details, troubleshooting equipment issues and helping improve processes.
What You'll Do
- Package and transfer chemicals safely into containers of various sizes
- Follow strict blend sheets to mix chemicals for drumming
- Process chemicals on equipment such as reactors and distillation systems
- Load and unload bulk tank trailers
- Operate forklifts and other material-moving equipment
- Complete packing sheets, checklists and other paperwork
- Wear the right protective equipment and follow all safety policies
- Handle housekeeping, janitorial and general labor tasks as directed
What They're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of manufacturing experience (preferred)
- Forklift certification (preferred)
- An understanding of chemical processes
- Basic computer skills and good verbal and written communication
- A team player who does well in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Commitment to safety and quality standards, including wearing protective gear

- Warehouse and outdoor work
- Long periods of walking, standing or sitting, plus climbing, crouching and operating tools
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more
