Position Summary

  • The Outpatient Program Director is responsible for:
    • Leading day-to-day operations
    • Supporting the growth, quality, and performance of Beacon’s outpatient behavioral health program
    • Overseeing team leadership, financial performance, operational execution, hiring support, patient growth initiatives, and cross-functional projects
    • Strengthening program outcomes through consistent execution and accountability

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and develop outpatient program teams to ensure consistent performance, accountability, and engagement
  • Oversee daily program operations to ensure services are delivered efficiently, consistently, and in alignment with organizational expectations
  • Monitor program financials, including:
    • Budget performance
    • Productivity
    • Staffing needs
    • Operational opportunities
  • Partner with leadership to execute program strategy, growth priorities, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Support hiring, onboarding, staffing plans, and retention efforts for clinical and operational team members
  • Partner with marketing, admissions, and business development teams to support:
    • New patient growth
    • Referral development
    • Market visibility
  • Identify operational barriers and drive initiatives that improve:
    • Access
    • Patient experience
    • Team effectiveness
    • Program performance
  • Use data and reporting to track key metrics, communicate progress, and recommend actions
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal partners, providers, team members, and external referral sources
  • Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, documentation expectations, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of relevant leadership experience, preferably in:
    • Behavioral health
    • Healthcare operations
    • Outpatient services
    • A related setting
  • Experience leading teams and managing:
    • Performance
    • Priorities
    • Day-to-day operations
  • Working knowledge of financial management, including:
    • Budgeting
    • Productivity
    • Operational performance metrics
  • Demonstrated ability to support:
    • Growth initiatives
    • Marketing partnerships
    • New patient access
    • Referral development
  • Experience supporting:
    • Hiring
    • Onboarding
    • Staffing
    • Team development
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and follow-through skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Preferred Experience

  • Behavioral health or outpatient program operations experience
  • Experience scaling or improving a program, service line, or clinic operation
  • Experience partnering with clinical, administrative, marketing, and senior leadership teams
