POSITION SUMMARY
 
Plays a vital role in the successful execution of concerts, comedy shows, exhibits, and special events throughout Cedar Crossing Casino & Entertainment Center. This position provides both front-of-house guest service and behind-the-scenes event support within the Event Center, Compass Center, and other entertainment venues across the property.


The successful candidate is dependable, energetic, team-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where every event is unique.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
The following statements are intended as an overview of key responsibilities of the work for this position and are not all inclusive:
 

Guest Experience

  • Welcome guests and provide exceptional customer service during entertainment events.
  • Scan tickets, assist with seating, direct guests to their locations, and answer event-related questions.
  • Assist guests with accessibility needs and help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Respond professionally to guest concerns and requests during events.

 

 

Event Operations

  • Assist with event setup, room conversions, seating arrangements, staging, and venue preparation.
  • Support event breakdown and venue reset following performances.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of entertainment venues before, during, and after events.
  • Assist with crowd flow and event logistics as directed.

 

Backstage & Artist Support

  • Assist with artist hospitality and dressing room preparation.
  • Serve as a runner for performers, production staff, and event management.
  • Support load-in and load-out activities for entertainment equipment and supplies.
  • Work closely with visiting production crews and vendors.

 

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Entertainment Manager, Entertainment Technicians, Security, Marketing, Facilities, and other departments.
  • Assist with concerts, comedy shows, exhibits, community events, and special programs throughout the property.
  • Maintain a positive, professional attitude while supporting a variety of entertainment activities.
  • Perform other event-related duties as assigned.

 

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all company safety procedures and event operating standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and gaming regulations.
  • Promote responsible gaming practices when interacting with guests


Other Responsibilities

  • Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
  • Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
 
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, entertainment, theater, sports venues, or event operations preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Must have ability to:

  • Have a friendly demeanor and be able to communicate well with the public and Team Members. 
  • Work in an intense and fast-paced environment where a high degree of concentration is necessary to perform required job duties.
  • Demonstrate positive/enthusiastic approach to all assignments.


REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
 
In addition to the other duties described herein, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:


  • Attend required training sessions offered by the casino.
  • Obtain and maintain required license(s).
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member’s department.
  • Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gambling.
  • Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls.
  • Take the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management.
  • Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member of which they have knowledge.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must have ability to:

  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently.
  • Work long hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Sit or stand for extended amounts of time.
  • Work in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels, may be exposed to secondhand smoke and varied light levels, including flashing lights.
  • Lift 50 pounds.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.
