Job Summary

Lead roofing projects across multiple states with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. You’ll supervise a small crew, serve as the main point of contact for clients, and handle a variety of service work—from leak repairs to small re-roofs—on diverse roofing systems.

This role requires regular travel and someone who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential. You’ll ensure every job is done safely, on time, and to standard—all while maintaining clear communication between the field, customer, and office.

Team Leadership & Development

• Supervise and coordinate crew activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work

• Train, mentor, and develop team members to build a skilled, high-performing crew

• Enforce company policies, safety standards, and performance expectations; take corrective action when needed

Customer & Communication

• Serve as the primary on-site contact, maintaining strong customer relationships and clear communication

• Attend and contribute to pre-construction meetings to align on project plans and expectations

Project & Site Management

• Monitor project timelines and budgets to maintain profitability and meet deadlines

• Coordinate material needs, review requisitions, and work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery

• Monitor on-site inventory, anticipate shortages, and order materials to prevent delays

• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in safe, working condition

• Ensure job site cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance at all times

Safety & Compliance

• Establish and enforce job-specific safety procedures per company and regulatory standards

• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and proactively address potential risks

• Complete and submit accurate daily reports (labor hours, progress, site conditions)

• Document and upload daily images, crew time entries, tailgate talks, and other records into RLM.

Additional Responsibilities

• Track project progress and resolve issues that could impact schedule or cost

• Collaborate with the Service Manager and leadership to share updates and suggest improvements

• Support safety, efficiency, and quality through continuous improvement efforts

• Assist with crew performance evaluations and participate in hiring or onboarding when needed

• Conduct semi-annual reviews for Service Technicians

• Maintain complete project records, including permits, inspections, and compliance documentation

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial or industrial roofing – supervisory experience is a plus

• Strong knowledge of roofing systems, installation methods, and safety practices

• Ability to read blueprints, specs, and project documents

• Solid leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Comfort with basic computer tools for reporting and documentation

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions—heat, cold, rain, sun, and wind

• Flexible schedule required: early starts, late finishes, weekends, or night work based on site needs

• Willingness to travel extensively and be on call for emergency response when needed

• Most tasks are performed on rooftops at various heights, requiring comfort with elevation and exposure to the elements

• Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, standing, and sitting for extended periods

• Must be able to safely climb a 60-foot ladder using 3-point contact

• Required to lift up to 90 pounds and push up to 200 pounds
