POSITION SUMMARY
 Responsible for acting in the position of Table Games Shift Manager when scheduled. As Pit Manager, responsible for managing Table Games staff in assigned pit(s), placing special emphasis on guest service, positive employee morale, ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies and game regulations and procedures while safeguarding company assets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESÂ

- Provides next-level guest service to internal and external guests. Demonstrates the Cedar Crossing culture in all interactions with guests and co-workers.
- Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with company policy and state regulations.Â
- Ensures compliance with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations.Â
- Ensures compliance with Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (IRGC) regulations and all applicable federal requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) guidelines.
- Monitors and enforces responsible gaming practices; identifies and reports suspected problem gambling behaviors according to company policy.
- Partners with Surveillance and Security to investigate irregularities, disputes, or suspicious activity on the gaming floor.
- Conducts periodic table game audits to verify procedural compliance, chip inventories, and accuracy of payouts.
- Maintains communication and coordination with other departments (e.g., Slots, Cage, Security, Hospitality) to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensures proper functioning and usage of table game systems, including rating systems and player tracking software.
- Provides ongoing training and development opportunities to team members to enhance game knowledge, procedures, and service standards.
- Reviews staffing levels in real-time and adjusts assignments to optimize efficiency and guest service.
- Documents and reports incidents, disputes, and procedural deviations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Supports budget adherence by monitoring labor utilization and operational efficiencies during the shift.
- Completes all reports and projects assigned by the Casino Shift Manager.
- Handles shift operations in the absence of a Shift Manager.
- Supervises, directs, trains and schedule staff.Â
- Auditions potential employees and makes recommendations to the Director of Gaming Operations. Vice President of Table Games.Â
- Monitors table games activity and customer play to protect the integrity of the games and safeguard the casinos assets.Â
- Ensures that table games are adequately staffed to meet customer needs.Â
- Directs the opening and closing of individual games based on business levels.Â
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of games, house rules, and procedures covering each game within assigned pit(s).Â
- Explains game rules to employees and customers, as necessary. Enforces the casino rules of play for assigned table games.Â
- Authorizes and supervises the table games fills, credits and comps. Assures proper completion of currency transaction reporting paperwork as require by federal regulation.Â
- Rates customer table game activity and identifies high roller action.Â
- Reviews table games closing and shift change procedures to ensure accurate and complete documentation.Â
- Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager regarding any concerns with attention to guest satisfaction.
- Assists with guest inquiries while monitoring and applying service recovery within authorized levels.
- Responsible for making sure all paperwork is completed and reported in accordance with established compliance procedures.
- Always follows the Company Service Standards model.
- Assists in developing department standards, guidelines, and objectives.
- Assists in other administrative processes such as staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areas.Â
- Responsible for creating and fostering an environment of support and motivation for Team Members.
- Addresses any situations that may arise among department employees.
- Reviews the work activities of subordinate employees to ensure that work is being performed within the standards established by management.
- Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
- Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED certificate required, bachelor’s degree is preferred. Minimum five (5) years supervisory or above experience in table games management including a proficiency in all table games. Must demonstrate a strong knowledge of table games that the facility provides and the ability to demonstrate correct game result decisions. Must have excellent PC, communication, organizational and delegation skills. Ability to apply logic and think analytically. Possess basic math skills. Ability to be persuasive.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
 In addition to the other duties described herein, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:
- Attend required training sessions offered by the casino.
- Obtain and maintain required license(s).
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
- Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member’s department.
- Have knowledge of property programs to address problem gambling.
- Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls.
- Take the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management.
- Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member of which they have knowledge.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Must have ability to:
- Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently.
- Lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
- Work long hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Work in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels, may be exposed to secondhand smoke and varied light levels, including flashing lights.Â
- Stand, walk, bend for entire shift.
