The Nursing Attendant position is located in a 30-bed surgical unit with a focus on orthopedics, urology, and bariatric care.
Candidates will undergo an individualized orientation program to enhance their clinical skills and professional role in a Med-Surg environment.
This part-time role requires 48 hours of work biweekly, with 12-hour shifts from 6 am to 6 pm, and every third weekend.
The nursing attendant will perform delegated patient care tasks and is accountable for their actions and duties as assigned.
A minimum of one year of experience is required for this role, which offers shift and weekend differential eligibility.

Nursing Attendant – 2 East - Surgical

2 East – 30 bed unit; primary focus – surgical, including all orthopedics urology and bariatric.
Individualized orientation program with knowledgeable preceptors focusses on clinical skill development and enhancement of professional role within the Med-Surg environment.
Part time (48 hours biweekly)
12 hour day (6 am to 6 pm)
Every third weekend
Shift and Weekend Differential Eligibility

The nursing attendant functions as an integral part of the patient care team by performing selected patient care treatments and tasks as delegated by licensed nurse. Is accountable for own action in performing duties as assigned and for which he/she is trained. Included is recognition and understanding of the physical, cognitive and psychosocial changes unique to the age/population group served on the unit.
